|
With each level comes
increased privileges. These include later bedtime, use of the
level/honor room, outings, both social and educational, social activities,
shopping at the "Point Store", unit lobby time, trust walks,
eligibility for passes and many other incentives
|
In order to assist resident's movement through the program, we have created
the Honor System. The Honor System is made up of 6 stages:
| Orientation
- Honor 1 |
| On the ORIENTATION LEVEL the resident will become
adjusted to life at Keystone. The resident will be expected
to read, to learn, and to understand the HANDBOOK. In
addition, the resident will learn and follow the UNIT
SCHEDULE. At this level the resident will begin formulating
goals for the resident's individualized treatment plan. |
| Bronze - Honor
2 |
| On the BRONZE LEVEL the resident will be taught how the program works, what
is expected, and what can be expected from the staff. The resident will be
taught the program philosophy, program goals and objectives, and program rules
and expectations. By ensuring you understand why you are in the program,
success becomes your personal choice. |
| Silver - Honor
3 |
| The primary focus of the SILVER LEVEL of the program is to help the resident
recognize the patterns of thinking that have resulted in unhealthy
behaviors. The first step in making good decisions is to recognize why
previous decisions did not work. The resident is required to
complete a series of written assignments, group discussion topics, and other
program activities designed to achieve this goal prior to promotion to the Gold
Level. |
| Gold - Honor
4 |
| The focus of the GOLD LEVEL of the program is to help the resident see how
unhealthy behaviors have affected both the resident and others. This
honor also focuses on learning how to develop healthy relationships and
developing an internal motivation for change. The resident is required to
complete a series of written assignments, group discussion topics, and other
program activities designed to achieve this goal prior to promotion to the
Sapphire Level. |
| Sapphire - Honor
5 |
| The focus of the SAPPHIRE LEVEL of the program is on learning new skills in
decision-making, critical thinking, and problem solving. This also
allows you to practice new skills with the guidance and support of the
staff. The resident is required to complete a series of written
assignments, group discussion topics, and other program activities designed to
achieve this goal prior to promotion to Diamond Level. |
| Diamond - Honor
6 |
| The focus of the DIAMOND LEVEL is on developing the skills that will help the
resident practice what the resident has learned once the resident leaves
Keystone. At this point, the resident has the responsibility of
role-modeling healthy behaviors to new residents in the program who are
struggling with old thinking and behavior patterns. |
